Mazda has recently introduced two new variants of the Mazda6, the 2.0 Premium GTCCC and the 2.5 Signature, with prices starting at VND 790 million and VND 899 million, respectively. These additions further diversify the options available for this D-segment sedan in the Vietnamese market.
As of late July 2024, the Mazda6 lineup consisted of only three variants: 2.0 Luxury, 2.0 Premium, and 2.5 Signature Premium GTCCC. With these new additions, customers now have a total of five variants to choose from, ranging in price from VND 769 million to VND 899 million.
At these price points, the Mazda6 is competitively priced against C-segment sedans such as the Honda Civic (VND 730-870 million) and the Toyota Corolla Altis (VND 725-870 million). It also boasts the distinction of being the most affordable D-segment sedan currently available in Vietnam.

Despite its competitive pricing, the Mazda6 has not achieved impressive sales figures in Vietnam. In June 2024, Mazda sold only 21 units of the Mazda6, a 73% decrease compared to the previous month. This poor performance landed the Mazda6 on the list of the 10 worst-selling cars in Vietnam. For the first six months of 2024, the cumulative sales of the Mazda6 reached only 237 units, roughly one-third of its rival, the Toyota Camry.
One factor contributing to these sales figures is the shifting preferences of Vietnamese consumers towards higher-riding vehicles. Additionally, the Mazda6 has not received significant design or feature updates for a while, which may also impact its appeal to potential buyers.
The Mazda6 showcases the brand’s “Kodo: Soul of Motion” design language, resulting in a visually appealing exterior. It comes equipped with features such as LED headlights with automatic on/off, automatic leveling, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, a sunroof, automatic wipers, and power-folding side mirrors.
The interior boasts leather upholstery, power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, a steering wheel with paddle shifters, an electronic parking brake, an 8-inch infotainment screen, and an 11-speaker Bose sound system. In terms of safety, the Mazda6 is well-equipped with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive LED headlights, lane departure warning, radar cruise control, collision warning, front and rear smart brake support, lane-keep assist, driver attention alert, and six airbags.
Under the hood, the Mazda6 offers a choice of two four-cylinder gasoline engines: a 2.0-liter or a 2.5-liter. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and send power to the front wheels.
