YouTuber AutoYa Unveils Renderings of the 2026 Corolla Cross with a Design Inspired by the Toyota RAV4
First introduced in the US over three years ago, the Toyota Corolla Cross is positioned as a more affordable version of the popular RAV4 SUV. However, contrary to expectations, the Corolla Cross has not garnered much interest from customers, while the RAV4 continues to be one of Toyota’s best-selling vehicles. Aside from factors related to space and configuration, the Corolla Cross’s exterior design has been deemed less appealing than its “older brother.”
Recently, a YouTuber by the name of AutoYa revealed design renderings of the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross for the North American market. The new design incorporates several elements borrowed from the RAV4, notably the grille. The headlights have also been redesigned to be sleeker and more eye-catching. The rear of the vehicle features new taillights with an LED bar stretching across the tailgate.
In the US market, the Corolla Cross is still offered in its pre-facelift version, which was introduced in the summer of 2021. Meanwhile, the model sold in other markets, such as Vietnam, boasts a more modern design, with the front grille inspired by the Lexus GX.
In the US, the Corolla Cross is available in seven trim levels (L, LE, XLE, Hybrid S, Hybrid SE, Hybrid Nightshade, and Hybrid XSE) with prices ranging from $23,860 to $31,405. The 2.0L gasoline engine produces 169 horsepower and is paired with a CVTi-S transmission, offering both front-wheel and all-wheel drive options. The hybrid version also features a 2.0L gasoline engine but with an additional electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 196 horsepower and all-wheel drive.
