The latest generation of the Kia Sonet was introduced by Thaco Vietnam in late May, featuring design and interior updates. On June 15, the manufacturer announced new listed prices for the Sonet, along with promotional and incentive programs to stimulate consumer demand.

Specifically, according to Thaco, the 1.5 Deluxe version will be priced at 539 million VND, the 1.5 Luxury at 579 million VND, and the 1.5 Premium will reach 624 million VND. In June, customers who place an order for the 2024 Kia Sonet will receive a cash discount, bringing the price of the new model down to 534-619 million VND.

Thus, whether with or without the promotion, the 2024 Kia Sonet has a higher price compared to its predecessor. Previously, the distributor positioned the Sonet in the A-SUV segment with listed prices ranging from 519-574 million VND, competing with the Toyota Raize and Hyundai Venue.

The 2024 Kia Sonet is priced between 539 and 624 million VND.

With the highest announced price exceeding 600 million VND, Kia is not joking when deciding to call the Sonet a B-segment SUV. If compared to its older sibling, the Seltos, in the B-SUV group, the Sonet’s design and engine are not yet competitive against other representatives such as the Mitsubishi Xforce or Hyundai Creta.

On the other hand, when placed alongside familiar rivals like the Toyota Raize (498-510 million VND) or Hyundai Venue (539-579 million VND), the 2024 Kia Sonet is less appealing in terms of pricing.

However, with some technological advancements and design upgrades, the Kia Sonet can attract a distinct set of customers. Combined with the company’s exclusive promotions and potential registration fee incentives in the upcoming month, this SUV still has ample opportunities to achieve stable sales figures in the upcoming reports.
