Subaru Asia’s official Facebook page recently teased a glimpse of the highly-anticipated Crosstrek, with a caption that simply read “Coming Soon.”
After a year-long wait, the B-segment CUV, the Subaru Crosstrek, is finally nearing its launch in Vietnam.
Last August, a dealership revealed that the Crosstrek would be making its debut in the country in 2024 at the Vietnam Motor Show (VMS). However, when the event was canceled, the launch was pushed back to this year.
The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek is a B-SUV that goes up against competitors like the Honda HR-V, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Mazda CX-3, and Toyota Corolla Cross.
With its dimensions, the Subaru Crosstrek 2025 is a sizable vehicle compared to other B-SUVs. This new generation model boasts a length of 4,480 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, a height of 1,580 mm, a wheelbase of 2,670 mm, and a ground clearance of 220 mm. In contrast, the Honda HR-V, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos have wheelbases of just 2,610 mm.
The exterior design of the Crosstrek exudes a sporty aesthetic, featuring a large honeycomb-patterned grille, muscular wheel arches, and boomerang-style taillights.
The interior of the Subaru Crosstrek continues the sporty theme. Behind the steering wheel sits an analog instrument cluster paired with a small TFT screen, while an 11.6-inch vertically oriented infotainment display supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and includes buttons for climate control. Other convenience features include push-button start, electronic parking brakes, and power-adjustable seats.
Additionally, the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek comes equipped with an advanced EyeSight driver-assist system, offering cutting-edge features such as automatic emergency braking, emergency steering assist, lane-keeping assist, lane departure prevention, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert when reversing.
In terms of performance, the Subaru Crosstrek for the Vietnamese market is expected to be offered with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter gasoline engine, producing 154 horsepower and 196 Nm of torque. This will be paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and either front-wheel drive or Subaru’s renowned symmetrical all-wheel drive.
Pricing details for the Subaru Crosstrek in Vietnam are not yet available. However, in Indonesia, this B-segment SUV is offered in a single variant with a price tag of 550 million rupiah, which roughly converts to 825 million VND.
