The VinFast VF 3 Owner Goes Big with a Custom Sunroof, Cutting Right Through the Roof.

With its robust and bold design, along with an accessible price tag, the VinFast VF 3 quickly garnered attention upon its release. In early August, VinFast officially delivered this compact electric SUV to pre-order customers. Soon after taking delivery, some owners began modifying their VF 3s by adding new accessories such as rims, leather seats, Android screens, and LED headlights. One owner, however, took it a step further and decided to go big by cutting the roof to install a sunroof.

Images shared on social media show the VF 3 with its seats removed and other parts carefully wrapped, while the roof has been cut off in preparation for the sunroof installation. This modification has also raised concerns among some people who worry that the vehicle may fail its roadworthiness inspection.

Additionally, such extensive alterations to the vehicle’s structure can expose the owner to significant risks. If the technician is not skilled enough or the electrical wiring is not done properly, the VF 3 may develop unexpected faults.

Positioned in the small electric SUV segment, the VinFast VF 3 boasts a substantial presence with dimensions of 3,190 x 1,679 x 1,652 mm (length x width x height). Its exterior stands out with bold geometric shapes and prominent character lines that extend from front to back. Despite its compact size, the VF 3 has a tall and robust stance, enhanced by its large 16-inch wheels that provide ample ground clearance for navigating various terrain.

The VF 3 comes equipped with essential features, including halogen exterior lighting and manually adjustable side mirrors. It impresses with a 10-inch infotainment screen. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, emergency brake assist, hill start assist, front disc brakes, and a single airbag.

The VinFast VF 3 is powered by a single electric motor driving the rear wheels, producing a maximum output of 40 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. This is coupled with an 18.64 kWh LFP battery pack, offering a maximum range of 215 kilometers on a single charge.
