In August 2024, Chinese brand MG is offering attractive promotions on all its models, including the HS. However, at the dealerships, this compact SUV is being offered with even more significant discounts.

MG HS is now available with discounts of up to VND 120 million at select dealerships. As a result, the price of this SUV has been reduced to just VND 582 million for the 1.5T DEL standard variant and VND 629 million for the 1.5T LUX variant.

With these discounts, the MG HS is not only more affordable than other compact SUVs in the market but also some smaller SUVs in the B-segment, such as the Mitsubishi Xforce (VND 599 – 705 million), Hyundai Creta (VND 599 – 680 million), and Kia Seltos (VND 599 – 799 million). It is now one of the most affordable C-segment SUVs in Vietnam.

The dealership discounts include the official promotions offered by MG. During this promotional period, MG is offering free registration fees and one year of physical damage insurance worth VND 80 million for the 1.5T DEL variant and VND 85 million for the 1.5T LUX variant.

However, the HS is not the MG model with the highest official promotional value. That title goes to the RX5, which is offered with registration fees and two years of physical damage insurance worth up to VND 120 million for both variants.

The new MG HS made its comeback in the Vietnamese market in January 2024, after more than a year of absence. Similar to the previous version, this model is also imported from Thailand.

The new MG HS is priced from VND 699 million to VND 749 million.

The new MG HS features slight changes in dimensions, exterior design, and equipment compared to its predecessor. Notable features include full-LED headlights, LED turn signals, LED taillights with a 3D spatial effect, 18-inch two-tone Tomahawk alloy wheels, Michelin PS4 tires, power-adjustable side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, and an electric tailgate.

The interior boasts a multifunction steering wheel, electrically adjustable front seats with heating, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch central touchscreen display, four USB ports, a 12V power outlet, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, 256-color ambient lighting, and an eight-speaker Bose sound system with a subwoofer.

In terms of safety, the MG HS is equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane change assist, and a 360-degree camera.

Under the hood, the MG HS is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 173 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and delivers an impressive fuel economy of 6.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
