Lamborghini Unveils the Temerario: A Bold Hybrid Supercar

Lamborghini has recently unveiled its new high-performance supercar, the Temerario. Positioned as the successor to the Huracan, the Temerario features a powerful hybrid powertrain and a bold, Italian-inspired name that translates to “bold” or “daring.”

The Temerario comes in two variants: the standard model and the Alleggerita, each showcasing two new paint options: Blu Marinus blue and Verde Mercurius green.

Lamborghini Temerario boasts impressive dimensions, with a length of 4,706 mm, a width of 1,996 mm, and a height of 1,201 mm.

The supercar’s design is distinctly sporty and aggressive, adopting the “spaceship” style also seen on the Revuelto. The hexagonal fog lights at the front and the combination of 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels with Carbon Ceramic Brakes Plus make a bold statement.

One of the key features of the Temerario is the large aerodynamic vent positioned just before the rear wheel, which improves downforce by 103% compared to the Huracan Evo. This, along with the optional Temerario Alleggerita package, which includes a larger rear wing, unique front splitters, and carbon fiber wheels, can increase downforce by up to 158% while reducing weight.

The interior of the Temerario is just as impressive, with a modern and sporty design that offers increased headroom and legroom compared to the Huracan. The center console features an 8.4-inch touchscreen, accompanied by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9.1-inch rear passenger touchscreen.

Standard equipment includes electrically adjustable sports seats, with the option of carbon fiber racing seats that optimize the driving position at high speeds.

Powering the Lamborghini Temerario is a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine and three electric motors. The V8 engine produces an impressive 800 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, while each of the three electric motors generates 100 kW of power.

The two front-mounted electric motors deliver a combined output of 220 kW and 2,150 Nm of torque, while the third motor, integrated into the V8 twin-turbo engine, provides an additional 300 Nm of torque. A 3.8 kWh Lithium-ion battery, 13 driving modes, all-wheel drive, and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission complete the package.

With a dry weight of 1,690 kg, the Temerario can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 343 km/h.

The Lamborghini Temerario will make its public debut at the upcoming Monterey Car Week 2024, with pricing details yet to be announced by the Italian automaker.
