Nissan Altima 2025 Debuts: Ditching Turbo but With a Special Edition

The biggest change for the 2025 Nissan Altima is the replacement of the previous model’s 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine that produced 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque. For 2025, the Nissan Altima will offer only one engine option: a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates up to 188 horsepower and 244 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a continuously variable Xtronic transmission and can be optionally paired with an all-wheel-drive system for $1,500 on most trims.

Another significant change for the 2025 Nissan Altima is the introduction of the SV Special Edition package. This package, priced at $1,090, includes body-colored mirrors, a rear spoiler, a sunroof, and 17-inch alloy wheels with a glossy black finish.

Upgrades continue inside the vehicle with dual-zone automatic climate control, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. This package also adds faux carbon fiber trim, illuminated door sills, and remote start.

While Nissan hasn’t said much about the car, the images reveal that the 2025 Altima SR features a new copper wheel option. These 19-inch wheels are priced at $670. Additionally, the base Nissan Altima S now comes with an 8-inch infotainment system, replacing the previous 7-inch screen. Lastly, the 2025 Nissan Altima will start at $27,000, an increase of $630.
