Today, on August 22, 2024, news about the Gumball 3000 supercar lineup being flown to Vietnam caught the attention of automotive enthusiasts across the country. Social media platforms were flooded with images and details of these exquisite vehicles.
Then, in the early afternoon, another set of photos stirred up a buzz on social media, this time featuring the garage of a prominent Vietnamese businessman, Hoang Kim Khanh. He proudly showcased his diverse collection, which now resembles a “rainbow” with its vibrant array of colors.
The collection includes a Lamborghini Aventador S LP740-4, a bright yellow Ferrari SF90 Spider, a red Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage in Lime Essence, a gray Porsche 911 Turbo S, an orange-brown Morgan Plus Six, two Bentleys (a Mulsanne and a Bentayga), a black Lexus LX600, and a colorful assortment of motorcycles and bicycles.
If you’re wondering about the notable absences of the McLaren Senna and the Koenigsegg Regera, they seem to have returned to Cambodia and are not part of the current garage display.
In the near future, Hoang Kim Khanh is expected to take delivery of another convertible supercar, the McLaren 750S Spider, as well as the highly anticipated Lamborghini Sian.
The Lamborghini Sian, as revealed by Hoang Kim Khanh, is a limited-edition model with only 63 units produced globally. Initially priced at $3.27 million, its value has since increased to $3.5 million, equivalent to 82 billion Vietnamese dong.
The Lamborghini Sian is a true collector’s item for supercar enthusiasts. With its potential to be the most expensive vehicle in Hoang Kim Khanh’s collection, surpassing the $2.9 million Koenigsegg Regera, it’s a significant addition.
Based on the Aventador platform, the Lamborghini Sian boasts a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine borrowed from the Aventador SVJ, now with titanium intake valves, producing a staggering 774 horsepower.
Moreover, the Lamborghini Sian incorporates a mild hybrid system, pairing its engine with a 48-volt electric motor integrated into the gearbox, contributing an additional 34 horsepower. This combination results in a total output of 808 horsepower, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 350 km/h.
One of the distinctive features of the Lamborghini Sian is its use of a supercapacitor instead of traditional lithium-ion batteries. This innovative component is three times more powerful and three times lighter than a standard battery of the same weight, and it’s positioned between the cockpit and the engine for optimal weight distribution.
