Comparing the Exterior Features of the GAC GS8 Versions
Positioned in the large SUV segment, alongside the Hyundai Palisade, the GAC GS8 has dimensions of 4,980 x 1,950 x 1,780 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,920 mm for both versions. It also offers a ground clearance of 190 mm and a minimum turning radius of 6.1 m. The standard version has a curb weight of 1,880 kg, 40 kg lighter than the premium version.
Both versions of the GAC GS8 come equipped with automatic LED headlights with welcome light function, fog lights, LED taillights, electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors with turn signals and heating function, automatic wipers, electric tailgate, and acoustic windshield.

However, the premium version takes it a notch higher with features like headlight assist system, LED daytime running lights, and 20-inch alloy wheels, while the standard version sports 19-inch wheels.

The biggest drawback of the standard GAC GS8 is the lack of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). The standard version only offers six airbags, a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), hill-start assist, hill descent control, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, and cruise control.
Only the GAC GS8 Premium Version is Equipped with ADAS.
On the other hand, the premium version boasts additional safety features such as a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, active speed limit control, adaptive cruise assist, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, traffic jam assist, and a driving recorder.
