The prominent businessman, Dang Le Nguyen Vu, has recently had his prized Bugatti Veyron inspected in preparation for its role as the lead car in the upcoming Gumball 3000 event.
As planned, the Gumball 3000 2024 supercar journey will officially commence on September 14th. This year’s largest supercar event in the world has chosen Ho Chi Minh City as its starting point to promote the image of Vietnam to the international community.
Although Dang Le Nguyen Vu, Chairman of Trung Nguyen Coffee Group, will not be participating in this supercar journey, he has offered to sponsor Gumball 3000 2024 with £200,000 (equivalent to 6.42 billion VND). Additionally, the coffee tycoon will display 18 cars at the starting point in Ho Chi Minh City. These cars include: Bugatti Veyron, Ford GT, Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition, and 15 Ferraris.
The Bugatti Veyron supercar has been in Vu’s possession for about six years now, and during this time, it has rarely been seen on the roads.
When it first arrived in the country, the supercar sported a red and white exterior, but it has since been changed to an all-white color scheme. For this event, the car has been adorned with additional black decals on its sides, along with promotional content for the Trung Nguyen Coffee brand.
The Bugatti Veyron also features a new star-shaped rim design, enhancing its unique and distinctive character.
Powering the Bugatti Veyron is a W16 engine with a displacement of 8 liters, producing a maximum output of 1,001 horsepower and a peak torque of 1,250 Nm. Combined with a 7-speed gearbox, the Veyron can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.5 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The top speed of the standard Bugatti Veyron is an impressive 408.84 km/h.
The Bugatti Veyron is an extremely rare supercar, with only 450 units produced worldwide. At the time of its arrival in Vietnam, the Bugatti Veyron was rumored to be priced at up to $2.3 million (approximately 57.1 billion VND at the current exchange rate).
