MG7 Makes its Debut in Vietnam: An Affordable Luxury Sedan Starting at 738 Million VND

MG7 is now officially on sale at over 36 MG dealerships nationwide, offering five color options. This launch reaffirms MG Vietnam’s commitment to delivering quality products that meet the evolving needs of domestic customers.

Eye-catching exterior design

The MG7 features a striking design with LED projector headlights integrating high and low beams, combined with modern LED positioning lights. The front of the car stands out with a large grille that extends to the sides, and the lines on the hood enhance the car’s sporty character.

The frameless door design with dual-layer glass and automatic lift and lower function when opening/closing the doors for pressure balance; the sides are accentuated by character lines running along the body, combined with a Cocked Bottle design that showcases muscular fenders when viewed head-on from the front or rear. The electric rear spoiler automatically deploys at speeds over 100 km/h and retracts when the speed drops below 70 km/h or can be manually controlled from the central console. These unique features make this model even more remarkable in the D-Sedan segment.

The rear of the car has been meticulously crafted with a fastback-style roofline that flows smoothly into the trunk, enhancing aerodynamic efficiency and modern aesthetics. Additionally, the full-LED taillights span the entire width of the rear, creating a seamless appearance and ensuring visibility in low-light conditions. The dual exhaust pipes are positioned on both sides, with adjustable sound functionality for a sportier experience.

Sophisticated interior design and amenities

The top-of-the-line MG7 boasts a red and black interior theme, a sporty steering wheel, and luxurious Nappa leather upholstery. It features a large 12.3-inch central infotainment screen seamlessly integrated with a 10.25-inch driver information display. The MG7’s entertainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Bose 9-speaker system delivers a high-quality surround sound experience.

Positioned in the D-Sedan segment, the MG7 offers a spacious interior with dual-zone automatic climate control and a PM2.5 air filtration system, ensuring a consistently clean and comfortable environment. A panoramic sunroof enhances the sense of space and allows occupants to enjoy natural light during their journeys.

Additional conveniences include wireless charging for front passengers, a 2-position memory function for the power-adjustable driver’s seat, a “Super Sport” button on the steering wheel, and more. The power tailgate and 60:40 split-folding rear seats provide added versatility for cargo storage.

Powerful performance

The MG7 is offered in three trim levels in Vietnam. The MG7 Luxury with the 1.5L engine produces 167Hp and 275Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 2.0L Luxury and Premium variants deliver 227Hp and 380Nm of torque, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission from ZF, along with an electronic gear selector and paddle shifters. The larger 245/40R19 tires and 19-inch wheels enhance the sporty character, and the multi-link rear suspension ensures a smooth and dynamic driving experience. The MG7 boasts impressive powertrain specifications within the D-Sedan segment.
