There are rumors that the Hyundai Inster electric car model may be distributed in the Southeast Asian market in the near future.
Hyundai Inster is expected to be Hyundai’s new affordable electric car, priced lower than the Kona electric version (800 million VND).
The Hyundai Inster has a length, width, and height of 3,825 x 1,610 x 1,575 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,580 mm. Compared to the Casper, this electric car is 230 mm longer, 15 mm wider, and has a wheelbase that is 180 mm longer. These dimensions are slightly smaller than those of the VF 5.
Hyundai Inster shares a similar design with its older sibling, the Casper. However, Hyundai has tweaked some of the exterior details of this car to better suit the characteristics of an electric vehicle. It features a two-tier headlight design with daytime running lights and turn signals on the top tier, and round LED headlights on the bottom tier. At the rear, the Korean car impresses with its pixelated taillights, inspired by the Ioniq 5.
In terms of interior, the Inster’s cabin is inherited from the Casper but has been upgraded with newer technology, and offers a wider range of color and material options. It boasts two 10.25-inch screens, wireless charging, a 64-color interior LED lighting system, and a sunroof.
Additionally, its safety technology is a notable feature, with functions such as highway driving assist, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control based on a positioning system.
Hyundai Inster offers two versions: Standard and Long Range. The standard version is equipped with a single electric motor that produces 95 horsepower and 147 Nm of torque, paired with a 42 kWh battery pack that delivers a range of up to 300 kilometers on a full charge.
The Long Range version, on the other hand, features a more powerful electric motor capable of generating 113 horsepower. It comes with a 49 kWh battery pack, providing a maximum range of 315 kilometers.
Hyundai Inster supports fast DC charging with a 120 kW capacity, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Using a standard 11 kW AC charger, the Standard version takes about four hours to fully charge, while the Long Range version takes four hours and 35 minutes.
Similar to the Ioniq 5, the Inster also features V2L bidirectional charging technology, enabling the vehicle to function as a mobile power source and supply electricity to other devices when needed.
