A Limited-Edition Maserati Levante Trofeo was involved in an unfortunate accident on Mai Chi Tho Street, Ho Chi Minh City.
On August 31, a serious traffic accident occurred on Mai Chi Tho Street, in the area of Cau Ca Tre Lon in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City. Specifically, a Maserati Levante Trofeo Launch Edition car, while driving on the aforementioned road, unfortunately collided with the central divider.
The high-performance SUV was completely deformed due to the strong impact. Images from the scene show extensive damage to the front and rear of the Maserati Levante Trofeo Launch Edition, with the wheel even being flung forward and the trunk lid landing in the adjacent lane. The SUV’s parts and debris were scattered on the road, and the airbags had deployed. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the accident.
“Gasoline spilled all over the road, but fortunately, the car did not catch fire, and the driver was able to get out in time,” a witness stated.
The road was damp at the time of the accident due to a light rain. According to some sources, the car was being test-driven by a customer when the accident occurred.
Immediately after receiving information about the accident, the authorities promptly arrived at the scene to remove the damaged vehicle and regulate traffic.
The Maserati Levante Trofeo involved in the accident is a limited-edition Launch Edition, with only 100 units produced globally. It has a listed price of over 15 billion VND.
The Maserati Levante Trofeo Launch Edition is powered by a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V8 engine produced by Ferrari, generating 590 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF. As a result, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 304 km/h.
