A Cambodian tycoon’s Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is set to enter Vietnam for the Gumball 3000 rally, exciting auto enthusiasts across the country.

With just under two weeks to go, the world’s largest supercar rally, Gumball 3000, is set to commence. This year, the event will see the participation of 121 teams, numbered from 0 to 120, including some of the finest supercars and hypercars.

On August 31, the Cambodian owner of two megacars, the Bugatti Chiron and Chiron Super Sport, confirmed that he would be bringing both vehicles to Vietnam for the rally. The announcement was made at a supercar event in Phnom Penh, and the cars are expected to enter Vietnam through the Moc Bai border gate in Tay Ninh province on September 14.

Earlier, there were rumors that the two megacars would not be participating in the Vietnamese event. However, the founder of Gumball 3000 advised the Cambodian owner to join the rally from Vietnam to fully experience the journey, rather than waiting for the convoy in his home country.

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is a limited-edition model, with only 60 units produced globally, retailing at $3.9 million each (~ VND 89.5 billion), excluding taxes and fees. The Super Sport challenges the laws of physics with its performance and boasts an impressive body design, featuring an extended rear end for aerodynamic efficiency, allowing it to maintain stability at high speeds without a rear spoiler.

The megacar’s exterior showcases a blend of standard and green carbon fiber, accented by green details. Under the hood, the Chiron Super Sport is equipped with a W16 engine displacing 8.0 liters, delivering a staggering 1,600 horsepower and 1,600 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 440 km/h.

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is 7% faster than the standard Chiron, reaching 200 km/h in just 5.8 seconds and 300 km/h in 12.1 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 440 km/h, matching the Super Sport 300+.

The Chiron Super Sport features a refined suspension setup with 7% stiffer dampers for improved ride comfort. It is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, ensuring safe handling at speeds exceeding 400 km/h.
