This event marks the second appearance of a Pagani Huayra BC Roadster out of only 40 such cars in existence. Even more remarkably, this car has been brought to Vietnam specifically for the Gumball 3000, the world’s largest supercar event, rather than being displayed statically like the car owned by the Singaporean collector.
The Pagani Huayra BC Roadster carries a price tag of $3.5 million, a significant increase from the $1.3 million base model. This substantial difference highlights that the 40 owners of the Pagani Huayra BC Roadster worldwide are true automotive connoisseurs and collectors.
Under the hood, the Pagani Huayra BC Roadster is equipped with a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that delivers an impressive 789 horsepower and 1,099 Nm of torque. The power is transmitted to the wheels through a new 7-speed Xtrac automatic transmission.
Pagani has noted that the single-clutch setup is 35% lighter than a traditional dual-clutch system. Combined with other impressive engineering feats, this contributes to the supercar’s lightweight construction, tipping the scales at just 1,217 kg.
The Pagani Huayra BC Roadster is fitted with specially designed Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires that provide exceptional road grip. The car accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in the same impressive time as its coupe counterpart.
