In just a few days, the world’s largest supercar event, Gumball 3000 2024, will officially kick off in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
On the eve of Gumball 3000, a fleet of Rolls-Royce Cullinan ultra-luxury SUVs made a surprise appearance in downtown Ho Chi Minh City to participate in an exclusive event for Gumball 3000 members.
It is known that this year’s Gumball 3000 will feature seven Rolls-Royce vehicles, including four Cullinans, one Wraith, one Dawn, and a modified Silver Shadow pickup.
Notably, one of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan vehicles stands out with a UAE license plate featuring the unique number “1.”
This particular Cullinan is part of Team 1, driven by HRH Moe Al Thani and A. Jaber in this year’s supercar event. HRH Moe Al Thani is a member of the UAE royal family and owner of one of the world’s most impressive car collections.
According to speculations, this distinctive license plate was auctioned off in 2016 for a staggering 18 million AED (approximately 158 billion VND at the current exchange rate). Furthermore, such license plates are exclusively reserved for royal family members and are not sold to the public.
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is powered by a 6.75L twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 571 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque.
As planned, the 25th Gumball 3000 rally will commence in Ho Chi Minh City on September 14th. The route will then take the participants to the Cu Chi Tunnels before heading to Cambodia, where they will spend two days exploring and engaging in charitable activities. The journey will then continue to Thailand and Malaysia before concluding in Singapore.
