With just a few days to go until the world’s largest supercar event, Gumball 3000, commences in Vietnam, last-minute additions to the participating vehicles have been made.
Specifically, a Toyota Fortuner from the Legender edition has been included. This vehicle, bearing the number 54, will be driven by a team of three Americans and one British national, taking turns behind the wheel.
In addition to the Toyota Fortuner, two other vehicles have also been added to the roster: a Ford Ranger Raptor pickup truck, piloted by two Americans, and a luxurious Rolls-Royce Wraith belonging to two Ukrainian participants.
The reason for the eleventh-hour inclusion of the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Ranger Raptor in the Gumball 3000 lineup remains unclear. It is speculated that these participants may have faced challenges in transporting their vehicles to Vietnam, hence the last-minute substitution with these models.
As planned, the 25th iteration of the Gumball 3000 rally will kick off from Ho Chi Minh City on September 14th. From there, the convoy will make its way to the Cu Chi Tunnels before crossing into Cambodia, where they will spend two days exploring and engaging in charitable activities. Thereafter, the journey continues to Thailand and Malaysia before concluding in Singapore.
