In addition to modern and new models, many Vietnamese tycoons also have a passion for classic sports cars. And the Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet is one of them.
As a historic model, the Porsche 930 Turbo was produced by the German automaker from 1975 to 1989 and is often regarded as the turbocharged variant of the iconic 911. Currently, there is only one Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet in Vietnam, owned by a tycoon in Saigon.
This unique Porsche 930 Turbo convertible boasts a sleek black exterior with round, protruding headlights and a set of 5-spoke wheels with a thick white rim accent.
Additionally, it features a large, fixed rear spoiler inspired by the shape of a whale’s tail. To comply with safety standards, the 930 Turbo in Vietnam also has two protruding details on the rear bumper.
Despite showing signs of aging after decades of use, the car still maintains a certain level of shine, indicating that it has been cherished and well-maintained by its owner.
The interior of the Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet features a bright, cohesive leather upholstery with a minimalist design, including only the steering wheel and a set of five analog gauges, allowing the driver to focus on the driving experience. Overall, the cabin is well-preserved, with most details still looking shiny and new.
Being from the second generation, this one-of-a-kind Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet in Vietnam is equipped with a 3.3L turbocharged engine (a 0.3L increase from its predecessor) and a 5-speed manual transmission.
With these refinements, the output has been boosted to 296 horsepower (an increase of 40 hp) and 412 Nm of torque (an increase of 83 Nm). It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 257 km/h.
