The Ultimate British Luxury: Rolls-Royce Spectre Graces the Streets of Saigon

According to sources, Minh “Nhựa” waited around six months to get his hands on this luxury electric vehicle. The official handover took place on June 30, 2024, but since then, the owner has kept a low profile, sharing little about the car.

However, a Tiktoker recently spotted the car parked on a Saigon street. The video revealed the license plate number 51L-038.38, and the online community quickly identified the owner as Minh “Nhựa”.

Rolls-Royce Spectre was launched in Vietnam in January this year, with a price tag of nearly VND 18 billion. It is the first electric car in the 120-year history of the iconic British luxury brand. The design takes clear inspiration from the Wraith and Phantom but with a wider and lower stance for a sportier feel.

Minh “Nhựa”’s Spectre is finished in a sleek white exterior, enhancing the car’s elegance and class. The front grille is a signature Rolls-Royce design, with a waterfall effect and vertical slats. At night, the grille is subtly illuminated by 22 LED lights, creating a refined and subtle three-dimensional effect.

The iconic Spirit of Ecstasy figurine takes center stage, crafted from polycarbonate, allowing it to glow and change colors at night, a unique feature not seen on other Rolls-Royce models.

The car features a two-tier lighting system, with slim LED daytime running lights on top and headlights set deeper within the lower section. A large central air intake and a small spoiler complete the front end.

The Spectre is fitted with 23-inch alloy wheels, the largest ever seen on a Rolls-Royce in the last 100 years. These wheels are aerodynamically designed, contributing to the car’s impressive 0.25 Cd drag coefficient, the lowest in the Rolls-Royce family.

At the rear, the car sports vertically oriented LED taillights with silver accents, a fresh design element.

Dimension-wise, the Rolls-Royce Spectre measures 5,453 mm in length, 2,080 mm in width, and 1,559 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,210 mm, a turning radius of 12.7m, and a curb weight of 2,975 kg.

The interior boasts modern amenities, including a 3-spoke steering wheel with function buttons, a digital instrument cluster, a central touchscreen, and leather upholstery. A digital display for the passenger and a starry sky LED lighting system on the dashboard and door trims further enhance the luxurious ambiance.

Minh “Nhựa”’s Spectre features a tasteful white and light blue interior, with a black dashboard, a two-tone steering wheel in black and blue, and an extended starry sky LED lighting system.

Under the hood, the Rolls-Royce Spectre is powered by an electric motor producing a maximum output of 430 kW (approximately 576 hp) and 900 Nm of torque. This enables the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. On a full charge, the car can travel 585 km according to the CLTC cycle in China, or 515 km according to the EPA cycle in the US.

Additionally, the Spectre supports fast charging, recovering 80% of its battery in just 34 minutes using a 195 kW DC charger. For those in a hurry, a quick 9-minute charge will provide enough power for a 100 km journey.
