Skoda Unveils Its Brand New All-Electric Model: Elroq

Skoda Elroq is the brand’s latest all-electric model, succeeding the popular Karoq. Positioned in the SUV/CUV-C segment, the Elroq boasts impressive dimensions: 4,488 mm in length, 1,884 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm.

Skoda Elroq showcases the Modern Solid design language. The front features a closed black gloss grille, flanked by sleek LED daytime running lights that double as turn signals. Below, you’ll find horizontal headlamps seamlessly integrated with vertical air intakes.

Each version of the Skoda Elroq is equipped with uniquely designed alloy wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches in diameter. At the rear, the vehicle sports sharp taillights and a robust-looking black bumper.

The interior of the Skoda Elroq embraces a minimalist design philosophy. It comes equipped with a host of convenient features, including a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel, a 13-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, and RecyTitan or TechnoFil upholstery.

One of the standout features is the voice control system, Laura, integrated with ChatGPT technology. This innovative system allows for hands-free control of various functions, enhancing the overall driving experience.

The Skoda Elroq offers a range of powertrain options to suit different needs. The base model, Elroq 50, is equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor delivering 168 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. This setup enables the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds and reach a top speed of 160 km/h. With a 55 kWh battery pack, the Elroq 50 offers an impressive range of 375 kilometers on a single charge.

The Elroq 60 takes performance up a notch with a more powerful electric motor generating 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. As a result, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds. Equipped with a 63 kWh battery, the Elroq 60 delivers a range of 400 kilometers.

The range-topping Elroq 85 truly showcases the brand’s capabilities with its electric motor producing 282 horsepower and a substantial 545 Nm of torque. This configuration propels the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 6.6 seconds, while the top speed is rated at 180 km/h. Thanks to its large 82 kWh battery, the Elroq 85 offers an exceptional range of 581 kilometers on a full charge.

Skoda also plans to introduce the Elroq 85x, a performance-oriented variant with dual electric motors and an all-wheel-drive system, promising even more power and range.

The Skoda Elroq supports fast DC charging with 145 kW, 165 kW, and 175 kW options, depending on the model. Notably, the 82 kWh battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes using a fast charger.

In the UK, the Skoda Elroq starts at a competitive price of £31,500 (approximately 1.029 billion VND). With its size and features, the Elroq is considered the most affordable electric vehicle in its segment.
