Tibet, a land of towering mountains and treacherous passes, has long been a dream destination for many adventurous explorers. But embarking on a journey to Tibet in an electric vehicle, especially a Vietnamese-made one like the VinFast VF 8, presents an unprecedented challenge. Now, a group of eight VinFast VF 8 owners from both the northern and southern regions of Vietnam are ready to take on this ambitious journey, aiming not only to conquer the natural peaks but also to prove the quality of Vietnam’s electric vehicle brand.

The VF 8 owners’ challenging journey to Tibet spans 16,000 km over 30 days.

This is not the first time that VinFast VF 8 owners have embarked on lengthy journeys, as they have previously conquered Indochina and Vietnam. However, Tibet presents the most difficult challenge yet.

The group is scheduled to depart from Hanoi on October 8th, covering a total distance of approximately 16,000 km over 30 days. They will pass through significant milestones and face numerous obstacles along the way. All members are confident that with the endurance and stable performance of the VinFast VF 8, they will overcome these challenges.

One unique aspect of this trip is the diverse backgrounds of the participants, including entrepreneurs, doctors, filmmakers, and well-known media managers, ranging in age and comprising both men and women.

The VF 8 electric vehicles, proudly made in Vietnam, are ready to tackle the challenging journey.

Sharing his motivation for the upcoming special trip, Bach Thanh Trung, a forum manager at VOZ and one of the participants, said, “Driving my own car to Tibet to explore the country, its people, culture, and the experiences along the way is a memorable journey. That’s why I joined this expedition.”

Ngo Van Hoi, another enthusiastic member of the eight-person team, shared, “I’ve experienced almost the entire range of VinFast’s gasoline and electric vehicles, but the VF 8 still evokes the strongest emotions. I’ve always looked forward to taking on a trip like this.”

The owners have meticulously prepared to ensure a smooth voyage. Trung mentioned that he had the suspension and tires replaced, and all fluids, including brake oil and coolant, checked and replaced. He also packed some Vietnamese food in case the local cuisine was inedible.

The group prepared converters to charge their VF 8s at charging stations in China.

Due to the difference in charging port standards between Vietnam and China, the team had to bring converters to charge their VF 8s in China. “There are plenty of charging stations in China,” Trung revealed, “but not many support the CCS2 charging port.”

News of this journey has already sparked admiration and excitement within the online community. Many believe that this trip is unprecedented not only in Vietnam but also globally. The fact that a Vietnamese-made electric vehicle is conquering Tibet is a testament to the remarkable development of the country’s electric vehicle industry.

The online community recognizes the broader significance of this journey beyond a mere road trip.

“This expedition is not just about the eight car owners; it’s a source of pride for the entire nation,” shared Tran Thanh Van, a member of the northern electric vehicle owners’ group. “VinFast has been asserting its position not only in Vietnam but also in the international market.”

As the group embarks on their journey to the rooftop of the world, many users eagerly await their adventures. This trip is not just a challenge for the participants but also carries a powerful message, affirming the capabilities of Vietnam’s electric vehicles on a global scale.
