This 2008 Hyundai Elantra has been restored as an Elantra N Line and gifted to a lucky individual.

This project is a collaboration between Hyundai Canada and the television show Roulez au Suivant. The Elantra, originally purchased by Jocelyn Roy from Hyundai Granby in 2011 with an ODO of just 30,000 km, went on to become the Hyundai with the highest mileage in Canada. Jocelyn used the sedan for his delivery job, averaging an impressive 107,000 km per year. In 2020, with nearly 1 million km on the clock, he traded it in for a Hyundai Kona at the same dealership.

Hyundai Canada then donated the Elantra to the Roulez au Suivant show for restoration, and the car was subsequently gifted to a lucky viewer.

Over 100 parts were replaced, including the engine. Although the original engine was still functional, it was replaced to enhance the ownership experience for the new owner.

Now, this 2008 Hyundai Elantra has been transformed with a light blue exterior paint job – Performance Blue, a color reserved for award-winning models in Hyundai’s “N” performance line. On the front doors, the N logo has been added with the word “INSPIRED” below. Red accents have been added to the body kit and front/rear bumpers, paying homage to the design of the current 2024 Elantra N.

The restoration also included a refresh of the interior, with new components added while retaining the original style. The odometer was reset to 0km (as the Elantra of this year can only display up to 999,999km).

Even the odometer was reset to 0km after reaching 999,999 km (the maximum distance this Elantra model can display). A “1” was added before the mileage counter to indicate that the car has traveled 1 million km.

The restored Elantra now belongs to Éloïc Lachance, a 16-year-old teenager from Rougemont, Québec, Canada. With the help of Éloïc’s parents, the show managed to keep the restoration of the sedan a secret until they handed over the keys.
