Vietnam Auto & Motorcycle Show 2024 (Vietnam Motor Show 2024) will feature the participation of leading automobile and motorcycle brands, along with over 50 auxiliary industry brands. The event will officially take place from October 23 to October 27, 2024, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. Suzuki will once again be a part of this prestigious auto show, the largest of its kind in Vietnam.
Over nearly three decades of dedication to the Vietnamese market, Vietnam Suzuki has solidified its position as a trusted brand, offering products and services that meet Japanese quality standards. In 2024, Suzuki introduced two new models to the Vietnamese market: the Jimny and the XL7 Hybrid. These vehicles will also be the brand’s highlights at VMS 2024.
The Suzuki XL7 Hybrid is priced at 600 million VND in Vietnam. Under the hood, the XL7 Hybrid features a mild hybrid system called Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS), similar to the Ertiga Hybrid.
Specifically, it is equipped with a 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine combined with an integrated starter generator (ISG) and a 10Ah 12V lithium-ion battery. The Suzuki XL7 Hybrid’s engine power remains unchanged, delivering 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, just like the previous gasoline-only version. It is paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
The Suzuki Jimny, dubbed the “mini Mercedes-Benz G-Class,” boasts a rugged and muscular design and is priced at just 789 million VND. Compared to the Jimny models introduced in Vietnam in 2020, the current version features a bolder honeycomb grille, an unchanged front bumper, and the same headlamps and turn signals. It rides on 15-inch wheels with 195/80 tires.
The interior offers a 4-seat configuration and comes equipped with features such as fabric upholstery, a multifunction steering wheel, a monochrome multi-information display within the analog instrument cluster, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, automatic climate control, AM/FM/Radio/MP3/WMA, an SD card slot, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, and two speakers.
Under the hood, the Suzuki Jimny is powered by a 1.5-liter inline-four engine that produces 100 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel-drive system.
