VinFast has made history as the first electric vehicle brand to top the automotive market, continuing its strong growth trajectory and marking a significant step forward for the domestic automotive industry. With 9,300 vehicles sold, VinFast’s figure far surpasses that of the second-placed brand, Toyota, which sold 6,986 units. Following closely behind are Mitsubishi with 5,385 sales, KIA with 4,015, and Ford with 3,967.

The impressive September sales figure in Vietnam comprises contributions from all VinFast electric models: VF e34, VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9. Notably, the VF 3 model is believed to have significantly driven these numbers.

The explosive success of the VinFast VF 3 was evident from its launch, with an astonishing 27,649 orders placed within the first 66 hours of sales. This equates to one VF 3 being booked every 8.6 seconds, an unprecedented feat in the Vietnamese automotive market. The VF 3’s compact size suits urban environments, and its customizable design, coupled with an attractive price range starting from VND 240 million (with a battery lease) or VND 322 million (with a battery purchase), has captivated customers. With such a substantial order volume, VinFast is poised to maintain its leading position in sales rankings for the upcoming months, provided they can keep up with the delivery schedule.

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our customers and dealers for their trust, support, and partnership in making this milestone possible,” said Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Executive Director of VinFast Vietnam. “With the strong support of our customers, we are confident in achieving our set goals for 2024 and making VinFast the best-selling automotive brand for the entire year.”
