Mercedes-Benz Exhibition: The Avantgarde 2024
The Mercedes-Benz Exhibition: The Avantgarde 2024 will be open to the public from October 11 to 13, 2024, at the I.C.E Hanoi International Fair and Exhibition Center (04 Tran Binh Trong, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), welcoming visitors from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily.
Spanning an area of 3,000 square meters and featuring nearly 30 representative models worth over 150 billion VND, the exhibition offers a comprehensive showcase of Mercedes-Benz’s product range. From the luxurious MayBach brand to the sporty AMG and the distinctive Mercedes-Benz models, the exhibition presents a diverse collection.
During the three-day event, two special presentations named The Grand Show and two car shows, The Car Show, will be held daily, enhancing the experience for visitors.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV
At the exhibition’s opening ceremony, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam also officially introduced the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV – the first all-electric super-luxury SUV from Maybach in Vietnam. Vietnam is one of the earliest markets to receive this all-electric super-luxury SUV.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV is built and developed based on the platform of the Mercedes-Benz EQS 500 SUV, retaining the same dimensions: 5,126 mm in length, 2,034 mm in width, and 1,721 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,210 mm.
Emphasizing craftsmanship and luxury, the classic three-pointed star emblem, the Standing Star, adorns the hood, while the black-panel grille and chrome trim create a 3D depth effect. For the first time, a Mercedes-Maybach grille is completely closed, marking the transition to the electric era.
Exclusive to the Maybach, the 22-inch forged and hollow-chamber rim wheels feature a unique design. At the rear, the continuous taillight strip forms a spiral on both sides, creating a captivating appearance from behind.
A unique convenience feature of the Maybach EQS 680 is the standard automatic opening and closing of the front and rear doors. When the driver approaches the car from the side, the door handles automatically extend from the body at a distance of about 6 meters. As the driver gets closer, and the distance reduces to about 1.5 meters, the driver’s door will open automatically. This function can be activated or deactivated via the central MBUX screen. Meanwhile, all other doors can be opened and closed remotely through MBUX. The driver’s door will also automatically close when the brake pedal is depressed. Each door is equipped with obstacle scanning sensors to ensure safe opening and closing without interfering with other people or vehicles.
Maybach EQS 680 Interior
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is the first Mercedes-Benz AG model to feature vegetable-tanned leather, an environmentally friendly material. A standout feature in the passenger compartment is the standard MBUX Hyperscreen with a “Zero Layer” interface. The Active Ambient Lighting system features 253 independent LEDs and offers 64 different lighting effects.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a range of modern technologies, including the First-Class Rear Seat Package, Chauffeur Package, ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL Plus advanced air filtration system, ENERGIZING package Plus convenience and entertainment package, and KEYLESS-GO Convenience Plus system, allowing electric control of all doors and the charging port.
The standard Burmester® 4D surround sound system delivers an exceptional audio experience.
EQS 680 Engine and Performance
Powered by two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, the Maybach EQS 680 delivers a maximum output of 484 kW (658 hp) and a maximum torque of 955 Nm, coupled with an all-wheel-drive 4MATIC system. This setup enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 210 km/h.
Equipped with a lithium-ion battery system with a usable capacity of 118 kWh, the EQS 680 offers an average range of 559 to 611 kilometers on a single charge, according to WLTP standards. In addition to a maximum DC charging power of 200 kW, which enables charging from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV also features a standard AC charging power of up to 22 kW, reducing charging time from 0% to 100% to approximately 6.25 hours.
In addition to standard driving modes such as ECO, SPORT, OFF-ROAD, and INDIVIDUAL, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is equipped with the MAYBACH mode, designed to replace the standard COMFORT mode.
In Vietnam, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV is offered to customers at a selling price of 7,610,000,000 VND.
