VinFast delivered over 9,300 vehicles to customers in September, nearly one-and-a-half times more than the second-ranked automaker, claiming the top spot in Vietnam for the month.

This is the first time an electric vehicle brand has topped the market and it continues to grow strongly, marking a new step forward for the domestic automotive industry.

VinFast’s September sales of over 9,300 vehicles in Vietnam included all electric models: VF e34, VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9. This contributes to accelerating the green transition, making Vietnam one of the rare countries in the world where electric vehicles currently outsell gasoline ones.

VinFast’s market-leading sales also mark a new milestone for the Vietnamese automotive industry. For the first time, a domestic electric vehicle brand has surpassed all international gasoline and electric vehicle brands to become the best-selling automaker in the market, especially just over two years after its official transition to an all-electric lineup.

Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Executive Director of VinFast Vietnam, said, “VinFast would like to express our sincere gratitude to our customers, dealers, and partners for their trust, support, and companionship in achieving this remarkable feat. With the strong support of our customers, VinFast is confident in achieving our set goals for 2024, making VinFast the best-selling automaker for the entire year.”
