Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (NIAD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on green transformation with VinFast, FGF, and V-Green.

Accordingly, NIAD plans to lease 200 electric cars, VinFast VF 8 and VF 9, from FGF to provide transportation services for partner businesses. They will also coordinate to open new V-Green charging stations at the company’s headquarters and offices under its management.

The 200 VinFast electric cars that NIAD plans to lease from FGF are mainly premium models, VF 8 and VF 9, to provide long-term transportation services to partners. The goal in NIAD’s green transformation roadmap is to gradually replace the current gasoline fleet with electric vehicles, thereby forming and encouraging civilized habits of using electric cars, which are more environmentally friendly, together with partners.

In parallel with leasing VinFast electric cars, FGF will also support the trade-in of NIAD’s existing gasoline cars to promote a faster green transition from gasoline to electric cars. With the common goal of building a sustainable green future, FGF and NIAD will cooperate to offer diverse service choices to customers, including short-term and long-term rentals, as well as purchasing options for new and used cars.

NIAD not only provides transportation and car rental services but also collaborates with V-Green, a leading company in developing and operating charging stations, to develop and open new VinFast electric car charging stations under a franchise model. Taking the initiative in ensuring charging infrastructure will not only give customers peace of mind and convenience during their use of electric vehicle transportation services but also open up a potential business opportunity for NIAD.

Speaking at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding, Mr. Ha Trung Nghia, CEO of NIAD, said, “NIAD understands the benefits that electric cars bring to the environment, society, and users. This is also an inevitable means of transportation in the future. Therefore, NIAD is very pleased to join hands with partners VinFast, FGF, and V-Green to spread green living and green travel habits using electric cars, while contributing to expanding the charging station system, thereby building a more sustainable green future for all of us.”

Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh, Deputy General Director of FGF, said, “Our cooperation with NIAD to provide car rental services to enterprise customers is a strategic step for FGF to popularize the long-term rental model in the Vietnamese market. This also enables partner enterprises to directly participate in the green transformation by changing their daily travel habits with optimized costs and classy, professional services.”

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duong, CEO of V-Green, shared, “Today’s cooperation agreement among the companies is evidence that the green transformation and the trend of traveling by electric cars are taking place strongly in Vietnam, attracting the participation of more and more organizations, individuals, and businesses with progressive thinking and high responsibility to society. V-Green believes that this cooperation model will continue to be replicated, helping to expand the electric vehicle ecosystem and bring benefits to the majority of people.”

Up to now, FGF has cooperated with more than 10 enterprise partners, leasing nearly 1,000 VinFast electric cars in the form of long-term rental. In addition, the company also provides short-term car rental services by the day/week/month for individual customers with attractive costs and flexible rental methods. Users can experience VinFast electric car lines through FGF’s car rental service before making a purchase decision or easily sell their old gasoline cars to switch to VinFast electric cars through FGF’s trade-in service.
