Goldfinger is the classic 1964 spy thriller and the third installment in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions, starring Sean Connery as the fictional MI6 agent, James Bond. Based on Ian Fleming’s 1959 novel of the same name, it’s a iconic piece of cinema that has left an indelible mark on pop culture. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of its release, Aston Martin is introducing a special edition model, aptly named the DB12 Goldfinger.
Unveiled just last week, the Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger is an ode to this celebrated film, most renowned for its DB5 and the first appearance of James Bond driving an Aston Martin. While 007’s ride was equipped with smoke screens and ejector seats, the DB12 Goldfinger aims to deliver a “more satisfying” driving experience, infused with subtle nods to the movie.

Starting with the exterior, the car is draped in a Silver Birch paint job, mirroring the color of the DB5 featured in the film. The designers have also crafted unique 21-inch wheels, complemented by black brake calipers. These are paired with yellow side strakes, silver and black Aston Martin logos, and a Q by Aston Martin badge on the mudguard.
The upgrades continue inside, with leather seats “finished in a DB5-inspired Classic Black color with an exquisite Prince of Wales perforation pattern, reminiscent of James Bond’s suit“. This perforation pattern can also be found on the headliner, doors, and door sills. The latter are particularly noteworthy, as they feature an inscribed plaque reading “60ldfinger Sixty Years”, alluding to both the anniversary and the limited production run of 60 cars.
Catering to the discerning buyer, the interior features 18k gold accents and a gear selector inspired by the film’s gold-plated tracking device. Elsewhere, there’s glossy carbon fiber trim with yellow metal inlays. The designers have also added an ‘eight of hearts’ embroidery on the driver’s sun visor, “relating to the playing card seen in the final draw during the famous pool scene in Miami.”
Production will be limited to just 60 units worldwide, and each car will come with a host of exclusive gifts, including a custom car cover, a key pouch, a Silver Birch Speedform model, and “a piece of the iconic Furka Pass featured in Goldfinger on 35mm film“.
But that’s not all—buyers will also receive a limited-edition magazine and a bottle of vintage 2007 Bollinger champagne, along with four exclusive Bollinger 007 glasses presented in a bespoke Globe-Trotter Air Cabin Case. These gifts are packaged in a Globe-Trotter box, featuring a silver birch body and the Prince of Wales check pattern inside.
Deliveries are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2025, and the power remains unchanged from the standard model, as the Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger is also equipped with the Mercedes-AMG-supplied 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 671 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This enables the standard car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 325 km/h.
