The Black Badge Ghost embodies Rolls-Royce’s rebellious spirit, featuring powerful engines, cutting-edge techniques, and the brand’s most advanced technology. Today, Rolls-Royce introduces an upgrade to its bold persona through the Black Badge Ghost Series II, meticulously designed to offer our distinctive customers a “canvas” where they can realize their unique Bespoke ideas.

BLACK BADGE GHOST SERIES II: MINIMALIST YET IMPRESSIVE EXTERIOR

The Black Badge Ghost Series II stands out with its minimalist yet impressive exterior design. The first style accent is the air intake and lower grille, which have been reshaped with two dark chrome stripes running along the air ducts and framed by black chrome. This design accentuates the square shape of the Pantheon grille, behind which lies the heart of the car – the powerful V12 engine.

The Black Badge Ghost Series II features black chrome plating, characteristic of the Black Badge line, on the Spirit of Ecstasy statue, the Pantheon grille, and the brand name plaque. To achieve this chrome finish, specialists used a special electrolyte in the traditional chrome-plating process, causing chrome particles to condense on the stainless steel, resulting in a darker hue. Each black chrome element is hand-polished to achieve a mirror-like finish. For the first time in the Black Badge Ghost, the door handles are finished with a black coating, extending the attractive noir effect that appeals to distinctive customers.

BLACK BADGE GHOST SERIES II: WHEELS WITH A NEW DESIGN

The second highlight of the Black Badge Ghost Series II’s exterior is the 22-inch, seven-spoke wheels, which are partially polished. The wheel spokes are now thinner, providing a clear view of the high-performance disc brakes, befitting the potent V12 engine.

BLACK BADGE GHOST SERIES II: SOPHISTICATED INTERIOR WITH SUBTLE DARK ACCENTS

The distinctive dark features of the Black Badge line are subtly integrated into the interior of the Black Badge Ghost Series II. Evidence of Rolls-Royce’s rebellious spirit is the new clock drawer, featuring a clock and a Spirit of Ecstasy figurine finished in black chrome instead of the usual mirror finish. Next to this new clock drawer is the upgraded Central Information Screen, incorporating the modern SPIRIT operating system.

BLACK BADGE GHOST SERIES II: SKILFUL MATERIAL PROCESSING

Beneath the central glass and throughout the interior lies a wood surface crafted with intricate carbon fiber weaving techniques. The Rolls-Royce artisans have developed a complex yet subtle diamond-shaped weave using carbon and metal fibers on a black Bolivar wood base. The carbon fiber-coated leaves are arranged in a contrasting diamond pattern with metal fiber leaves to create a mysterious three-dimensional effect. The leaves are then processed for an hour at 100°C under pressure. To achieve a flawless shine, the surfaces are manually sanded and coated with six layers of varnish. The final effect is subtle and minimalist, yet upon closer inspection, one is impressed by the attention to detail.

Customers can request the addition of the infinity symbol, emblematic of the Black Badge line, on the champagne refrigerator door located between the rear seats. Crafted from premium aluminum similar to that used in aerospace, the infinity symbol is embedded between the third and fourth layers of the six-layer varnish, creating the illusion of floating above the surface while being entirely flat.

A sophisticated technique called physical vapor deposition is also applied to darken metal components in the Black Badge Ghost Series II. This method is used on the speaker grilles and vent bezels on the dashboard to prevent discoloration or fading over time or when exposed to extreme temperatures.

BLACK BADGE GHOST SERIES II: A UNIQUE BLEND OF MATERIALS

The Black Badge Ghost Series II inherits the brand’s recently introduced innovative material technologies. Duality Twill, a creative fabric made from bamboo, draws inspiration from the vast bamboo forest in Le Jardin des Méditerranées on the Côte d’Azur, near Mr. Henry Royce’s old winter villa, Villa Mimosa. The “twill” woven fabric is adorned with decorative “Duality” embroidery based on the abstract image of two Rs – the initials of the brand’s founders. A full Duality Twill interior can involve up to 2.2 million stitches, 11 miles of thread, and over 20 hours of craftsmanship. Customers can choose from 51 different thread colors to create a distinctive Black Badge look.

The skilled craft of Placed Perforation is also utilized in the Black Badge Ghost Series II. This method involves creating tiny holes in the leather, inspired by the ever-changing shapes of clouds in the sky above the Goodwood manufacturing plant. The number of punctures can reach 107,000, with varying sizes and diameters ranging from 0.8 to 1.2 millimeters. A skilled artisan inspects each puncture to ensure absolute consistency in the artwork.

BLACK BADGE GHOST SERIES II: POWERFUL ENGINE COMBINED WITH MODERN SUSPENSION

The Black Badge Ghost Series II boasts a potent V12 engine, fine-tuned to deliver 29 PS more power and 50 Nm more torque than the Ghost Series II. Similar to other Black Badge models, the ‘Low’ button on the gear selector releases the car’s full performance potential. In the Series II generation, shifting speed when pressing the accelerator pedal near the floor is 50% faster than the previous version, and the exhaust system has been improved for a deeper, warmer sound.

To maximize the increased performance, the Black Badge Ghost Series II employs the Black Badge Planar suspension system, which integrates an upper wishbone damper in the front spring assembly. This system works in conjunction with electronically controlled, continuously variable dampers and large-capacity anti-roll bars to provide a more stable driving experience, adhering to the brand’s “magic carpet ride” philosophy.

A CREATIVE VISION OF LUXURY

The Black Badge Ghost Series II asserts itself as a versatile vehicle: it boasts a potent V12 engine, a modern chassis, and offers limitless Bespoke options for customers. The Series II generation builds on the success of its predecessors while showcasing a progressive vision of luxury.

The Black Badge Ghost Series II is priced at 39,990,500,000 VND (including VAT) at the official Rolls-Royce Motor Cars HCMC dealership. Additionally, the Ghost Series II and Ghost Extended versions are also available for purchase, priced at 34,900,800,000 VND (including VAT) and 38,900,400,000 VND (including VAT), respectively.
