Honda Vietnam has announced a price adjustment for its two best-selling models in the country: the Honda City and the Honda CR-V. The new pricing strategy brings the starting price of the Honda City down to 499 million VND, while the CR-V L trim is now offered at 1,029 billion VND.

With this adjustment, the Honda City is now more competitively priced within the B-segment sedan category. Its rivals, the Hyundai Accent and Toyota Vios, are currently offered at 439-569 million VND and 458-545 million VND, respectively.
Following the change, the Honda CR-V’s petrol-powered variants are now priced between 1,029 and 1,25 billion VND. While still relatively higher than competitors such as the Mazda CX-5 (749-979 million), Ford Territory (799-929 million VND), Hyundai Tucson (769-919 million VND), Kia Sportage (779-999 million VND), and Mitsubishi Outlander (825-950 million VND), the CR-V now offers a more attractive proposition with a reduction of 60-80 million VND.
Both the Honda City and the petrol-powered Honda CR-V are locally assembled in Vietnam, which means they are eligible for the 50% reduction in registration fees as per the government’s policy. This is the fourth time that locally assembled vehicles in Vietnam have benefited from such an incentive, which is valid from September 1 to November 30.
As of the end of July, Honda has sold 12,887 units in Vietnam, with the Honda City leading the way at 4,060 units. The Honda CR-V, including the hybrid variant (805 units sold), is the third best-selling model for the brand, with a total of 2,912 units sold.
