Thanh Nga, Bac A, Que Lua, and Long Bien, four of the oldest taxi companies in Hanoi, have just signed a contract to purchase and lease 1,000 VinFast electric vehicles. The companies will operate on the Xanh SM app-based platform, marking a strategic and pioneering collaboration in developing an electric taxi network, contributing to the goal of greener transportation in the capital.
According to the agreement, the taxi companies will purchase and lease 1,000 VinFast electric vehicles from Xanh SM. Xanh SM will ensure the supply of high-quality electric vehicles and professional after-sales services, enabling the taxi partners to easily implement an electric vehicle system and gradually replace their traditional fuel-based fleets.

Through this collaboration with Xanh SM, customers of Thanh Nga, Bac A, Que Lua, and Long Bien can now book rides through the Xanh SM app in addition to the traditional booking methods offered by the companies. This will optimize the booking process, increase customer reach, and enhance the companies’ business efficiency while providing convenience to passengers.
Prior to this agreement, the total number of electric vehicles owned by all four taxi companies barely reached 20, and some companies had not yet adopted electric vehicles. A series of business seminars on the theme “Viet Nam’s Strong Spirit” inspired the companies to join the green transportation network in Hanoi.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Director of Long Bien Taxi Company, speaking on behalf of the four taxi companies, stated that this step is necessary for taxi companies to take the lead in environmental protection and enhancing user experience. “We have strong confidence in our collaboration with Xanh SM. The transition to electric vehicles will not only bring business efficiency and cost savings but also meet the growing demand for electric vehicles from both customers and drivers,” expressed Ms. Thuy.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, CEO of GSM Global, emphasized: “Our collaboration with the oldest taxi companies in Hanoi and Xanh SM demonstrates a united effort towards the mission of developing an electric taxi network among Vietnamese enterprises. Notably, the partners’ choice of VinFast electric vehicles over foreign brands is a clear indication of our credibility, product quality, and the best policies we offer. Xanh SM is proud to accompany our strategic partners, bringing sustainable value and actively contributing to emission reduction, building a greener Vietnam.”
From now on, customers of the four taxi companies: Thanh Nga, Bac A, Que Lua, and Long Bien, can book electric vehicles through the Xanh SM app
Previously, Xanh SM has partnered with over 40 businesses nationwide, transitioning them to green operations, and bringing the total number of electric vehicles in the Xanh SM network to over 80,000, including electric cars, motorcycles, and partners’ vehicles.
