Ferrari has an impressive collection of expensive cars in its model range, and the most famous of these that every car enthusiast knows are the “big five,” referring to the legendary 280 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari.
And recently, a new member has been added, the F80, the first million-dollar Ferrari supercar to feature a V6 engine. Unlike the V8 in the 280 GTO and F40 and the legendary V12 from the F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari. Only 799 cars were produced, and with a price tag of $3.9 million, it becomes the most expensive and rarest Ferrari in the “big six” collection.
Up-close Look at the Real-life Ferrari F80 Supercar Worth $3.9 Million
Recently, an event gathering Ferrari racing supercars brought together dozens of models, from Formula 1 cars to racing cars, and also featured the Ferrari F80. Fans were truly impressed with the V6 engine and the three electric motors on this F80, which deliver a maximum output of 1,200 ps.
Specifically, the Ferrari F80 uses the F163CF engine, a 120-degree V6 related to the engine in both the 296 GTB and the 499P that won at Le Mans. But instead of the 296’s internal combustion engine producing 654 horsepower, the lighter ICE in the F80 delivers an impressive 888 horsepower and torque increased from 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) to 627 lb-ft (850 Nm).
But that’s not all; the F80 also uses a three-electric-motor setup similar to the SF90. Two motors at the front provide up to 282 horsepower to the front wheels and enable torque vectoring, and Ferrari says it weighs 61.5 kg, a significant 14 kg lighter than the SF 90. The third motor sends 80 horsepower to the rear wheels but can generate 94 horsepower by harvesting braking energy.
The addition of hybrid power boosts the F80’s total output to 1,184 horsepower, compared to the 296’s 819 horsepower, and makes it Ferrari’s first four-wheel-drive supercar. But despite all the electric power, the F80 does not have an electric-only mode.

The all-new Ferrari F80 is an engineering marvel and a powerhouse on wheels, commanding a price tag of $3.9 million. With an astonishing 1200 horsepower, this Ferrari is the most powerful commercial offering yet from the iconic Italian marque. A true testament to Ferrari’s engineering prowess, the F80 is an exhilarating blend of performance and style, delivering an unforgettable driving experience that lives up to its prestigious lineage.
