Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd. (HVN) collaborated with the National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) and the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) to organize a workshop on enhancing traffic safety management and education in secondary education institutions.

The workshop was conducted in 20 provinces/cities across the country, bringing the total number of provinces/cities covered in 2024 to 49.

Sharing the government’s vision of “ZERO traffic fatalities” by 2045 and Honda’s global goal of “ZERO traffic collision fatalities involving motorcycles and automobiles by 2050,” Honda Vietnam focuses on fostering a traffic safety culture among the youth, especially high school students.

As part of the Coordination Program “Traffic Safety Education for Students” for the period 2023 – 2026 between the NTSC, MoET, and Honda Vietnam, the workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of educational administrators in promoting traffic safety, disseminating legal knowledge, and developing safe commuting skills and a traffic safety culture in schools. This was the second workshop held, following the success of the first one in March 2024.

On October 18, 2024, the workshop was attended by Mr. Le Kim Thanh, Vice Chairman of the NTSC; Mr. Tran Van Dat, Head of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs of the MoET; and Ms. Do Thu Hoang, First Vice President of Honda Vietnam, along with nearly 120 educational administrators from 20 provinces/cities nationwide.

The workshop included discussions on the current status of traffic order and safety; conveying the message of the role and responsibility of educational administrators in traffic safety training in schools; sharing plans to fulfill the traffic safety tasks assigned to the education sector; and introducing a program to enhance legal knowledge and safe riding skills for high school students.

By intensifying traffic safety advocacy and training for secondary education administrators through this workshop, Honda Vietnam aims to improve the quality of traffic safety management in schools, contributing to reducing accidents and building a safe and civilized traffic society in Vietnam.
