VinFast Honored at detikcom Awards 2024 for its Revolutionary Battery Leasing Policy in Indonesia

Southeast Asian media hailed the award as a testament to VinFast’s relentless efforts and innovations in promoting electric vehicles, underscoring its pioneering spirit and leadership in the region’s green transition.

Revolutionary Battery Leasing Policy with Positive Environmental Impact

According to CNN Indonesia, detikcom Awards is an annual prestigious award that recognizes outstanding contributions in various fields, including economics, politics, technology, and renewable energy. The award aims to celebrate creative ideas, breakthrough solutions, and actions towards a brighter Indonesia.

To ensure fairness and objectivity, detikcom Awards established a professional council responsible for evaluating and selecting outstanding candidates based on stringent criteria for adaptability, innovation, and creativity.

After thorough research and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, the detikcom Awards jury awarded VinFast the “Green Transformation Pioneer Initiative” for its battery leasing policy’s innovativeness and positive environmental impact.

The VinFast policy impressed the judges in two main aspects. Firstly, it encourages Indonesian consumers to join the green transportation revolution by significantly reducing the initial cost of purchasing an electric vehicle. Additionally, VinFast offers free maintenance, repair, and replacement of batteries if the charging reception state drops below 70%, alleviating concerns about battery longevity and potential repair or replacement costs. This provides peace of mind for consumers during their green transition journey.

Secondly, by taking full responsibility for battery maintenance, warranty, and recycling, VinFast not only prolongs the lifespan of electric vehicle batteries but also contributes to environmental protection and the development of a circular economy, which is crucial in global efforts to reduce waste and carbon emissions.

CNN Indonesia, in an article published on October 18, praised VinFast, stating, “VinFast affirms its pioneering position in the electric vehicle revolution in Southeast Asia with the prestigious detikcom Awards 2024. The company’s initiative has been well-received by Indonesian consumers, offering not just an effective solution to promote the shift to green energy but also providing flexibility in electric vehicle ownership.”

A New Milestone in VinFast’s Global Journey

CVT, Indonesia’s leading automotive website, recently commended VinFast for taking a leading role in the global green revolution and shaping the future of sustainable mobility in Southeast Asia.

According to CVT, with its diverse range of electric vehicles, VinFast is making environmentally friendly transportation solutions more accessible to everyone. The Vietnamese electric car manufacturer is not just producing vehicles but also heavily investing in charging infrastructure, advanced battery technology, and renewable energy sources.

“With its strategic initiatives, VinFast has demonstrated a strong commitment to the Indonesian market,” the website commented.

Indonesian media also acknowledged VinFast’s rapid strides in the country’s largest automotive market. According to CNN Indonesia, after its official brand launch at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024, VinFast has continuously expanded its presence: officially breaking ground on an electric vehicle assembly plant in Subang (West Java), continuously developing its dealer network, and launching two models, VF e34 and VF 5, both offered with the battery leasing policy.

Notably, the prestigious “Green Transformation Pioneer Initiative” award adds to VinFast’s growing collection of international accolades. Other notable awards include the Grand Prix ASEAN NCAP, a double win for “Most Favorite Debut Brand in Southeast Asia” and “Best Exhibition Booth” at IIMS 2024, and the “Innovation Award Honoree” for VinFast MirrorSense at CES 2024, recognizing its AI-powered automatic mirror adjustment technology.
