Skoda was one of the 19 automotive and motorcycle brands participating in the Vietnam Motor Show (VMS) 2024, which opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, this morning, October 23. It is also one of the brands launching the most new cars at this event.

At its booth, Skoda displayed a total of 7 models. The most prominent one was the new-generation Skoda Kodiaq.

First introduced to the international market in 2023, the new Skoda Kodiaq features a more attractive exterior design and richer convenience equipment. The highlight of this mid-sized SUV lies in its full-matrix LED headlights with 36 modules, 20-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit digital dashboard, a new 12.9-inch central touchscreen, and a head-up display.

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq in Vietnam will continue to offer two gasoline engine options as before. The first is a 1.4L four-cylinder engine that produces 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

The second is a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. Compared to the previous version, this engine is more powerful by 10 horsepower. The power is transmitted to the wheels through a 7-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

In addition to the Kodiaq, Skoda also showcased other new models at the VMS 2024 exhibition, including the Superb, Octavia, Kushaq, Slavia, and Enyaq iV. The Skoda Superb is a mid-sized station wagon, while the Kushaq belongs to the B-segment SUV category. The Skoda Octavia and Slavia are C- and B-segment sedans, respectively. The Skoda Enyaq iV, on the other hand, is an electric car.
