The Enyaq iV is Skoda’s first electric vehicle offering in the Vietnamese market, and it’s set to compete directly with the VinFast VF 7.

At the VMS 2024, the Czech automotive brand Skoda showcased a range of notable vehicles, including the all-electric CUV named Enyaq iV. Previously, in late 2022, Skoda announced that the Enyaq was part of their plans for the Vietnamese market, with sales expected to begin in 2025, right after the opening of the Skoda – TC Motor plant in Quang Ninh.

The Enyaq iV boasts dimensions of 4,648 x 1,877 x 1,618 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm. In comparison to the VinFast VF 7, this European-branded model is 104 mm longer, 11 mm narrower, and 19 mm shorter. Its wheelbase is also 75 mm shorter than the VF7.

The Enyaq iV is built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB (Modular Electric Drive Matrix) platform, specifically designed for electric vehicles. As a result, this CUV shares many similarities with other products from the German group, such as the VW ID.4.

The design of the Enyaq iV doesn’t stray too far from Skoda’s traditional combustion-engine models. The RS high-performance version, showcased at the VMS 2024, features the Crystal Face grille with 130 integrated LEDs, creating a striking light effect when in motion. The matrix LED headlights with daytime running lights further enhance its visual appeal. The wheels, designed with aerodynamics in mind, come in two size options: 20 and 21 inches.

Inside, the Skoda Enyaq iV RS impresses with a modern interior, highlighted by a 13-inch central touchscreen that serves multiple functions. The digital driver’s display measures 5.3 inches and offers customizable information and interface options. Additional features include a digital windshield display, a panoramic sunroof, and over-the-air software update capability. The front seats are sporty and electrically adjustable, with built-in heating for added comfort.

The Skoda Enyaq RS iV at VMS 2024 is equipped with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 295 horsepower and a maximum torque of 460 Nm. The 82 kWh battery pack provides an impressive range of approximately 500 kilometers on a full charge.
