On October 24, 2024, Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong announced the establishment of VinDT Joint Stock Company, providing training and examination services for electric vehicle driving, a first in Vietnam.
VinDT not only helps to popularize car driving skills easily for the majority of the people but also brings opportunities to access, explore, and master smart electric cars, thereby strongly promoting the trend of green transportation in Vietnam.
VinDT provides learning and licensing services using only VinFast electric vehicles, with a vision to become the first and largest electric vehicle training unit in Vietnam, with a planned scale of up to 20 facilities nationwide.
By using 100% VinFast electric vehicles in training and practice, VinDT gives students the opportunity to access smart, high-tech, and environmentally friendly transportation from their first days of driving. VinDT students will be equipped with the right knowledge and skills about electric vehicles, understanding the outstanding advantages of electric vehicles over gasoline/diesel cars, thereby forming the habit of using electric vehicles for transportation and contributing to the country’s green transition.
With a well-maintained and modern infrastructure, a dedicated and enthusiastic team of instructors, and a fleet of high-quality electric vehicles, VinDT will make the “automobile” journey of Vietnamese people simpler and easier. In addition, VinDT’s systematic and accessible training program will create opportunities to popularize driving skills widely among the people, helping to enhance the quality of life for everyone.
Especially, popularizing electric vehicle driving skills will also open up new career opportunities with stable incomes and a civilized, professional working environment for a part of the common laborers, thanks to the strategic cooperation between VinDT and Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company. Accordingly, if students have a need, VinDT will act as a bridge to bring opportunities to become a Green SM taxi driver for students.
With the advantages of electric vehicles such as ease of use, zero emissions, no gasoline smell, and being equipped with many advanced technologies and conveniences to ensure the health and safety of users, electric taxi drivers are considered a good job choice for common laborers, especially women.
Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, General Director of VinDT, said, “Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular in Vietnam and this trend is irreversible. That is why VinDT was born, to bring opportunities to access and learn systematic skills of driving electric cars for the people. This will be the beginning of an electric journey for each individual, helping to enhance the quality of life and make practical contributions to the sustainable development of the country.”
According to the plan, VinDT will recruit teachers and students in the North, Central, and South regions this year to meet the growing needs of the people nationwide.
