Vietnam Motor Show 2024: A Spectacular Showcase of Automobiles and Motorcycles

Vietnam Motor Show 2024 (VMS 2024) is the biggest automotive and motorcycle event of the year, offering the public a chance to explore and experience the latest in the industry.

This year’s exhibition marks the return of numerous renowned motorcycle and motor brands after a long absence, with a total of eight brands on display: Honda, Yamaha Motor, SYM, UM Motorcycles, Harley-Davidson, Triumph Motorcycles, KTM, and Husqvarna Motorcycles.

Attractive Displays and Engaging Experiences

With the theme “Future to the Max,” Yamaha Motor Vietnam presented a diverse range of vehicles, from scooters to large-displacement motorcycles, electric bikes, and concept models. Their display featured four distinct zones: Fashionable Ride, Chill Ride, Adventure Ride, and Adrenaline Ride, each with its unique style and character.

Yamaha also unveiled two concept models at VMS 2024: Motoroid and Elove, showcasing self-recognition technology, autonomous transformation, self-driving, and self-balancing capabilities. Additionally, the Japanese brand introduced its new MAXi series, including models such as TMAX, NMAX, XMAX 300, NVX, and LEXi 155 VVA ABS.

Honda Vietnam showcased a formidable lineup of two-wheelers, including large-displacement motorcycles, electric scooters, and their CUV e: and ICON e: urban electric motorcycle models.

The motorcycle and motor displays added a unique touch to the Honda booth, with each corner meticulously designed to showcase different lifestyles and stories. Additionally, Honda Racing Vietnam Team racer Cao Viet Nam was present to meet and greet motorsport enthusiasts.

Honda’s large-displacement motorcycle display connected the automotive and two-wheeler sections, featuring models like the CBR650R and CB650R with E-Clutch technology, and the NX500 adventure bike for touring enthusiasts.

The highlight of Honda’s motorcycle lineup at VMS 2024 was the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, a premium sportbike with electronic throttle, high-performance Brembo brakes, and the world’s first Ohlins Smart Electronic Control suspension system. The 1,000 cc engine delivers improved power and torque in the mid-range, resulting in superior acceleration. This model is priced at 1.051 billion VND.

SYM also showcased its modern designs and feature-rich models, including the DRGBT150, MMBCU150, VF185, Wolf, Priti 125, and Tuscany 150, offering something for every customer.

A Gathering of Prestigious Large-Displacement Motorcycles

Alongside Japanese and Taiwanese brands, European and American large-displacement motorcycle brands also attracted attention with their premium offerings.

UM Motorcycles, an American brand, made its debut in the Vietnamese market at VMS 2024 with three models that embody a sense of freedom and individuality. The Renegade Freedom 300cc is a sports-styled cruiser that blends modern aesthetics with classic cruiser styling. The Renegade ST 300cc, positioned as a Sport Touring Cruiser, combines power and refinement, featuring a striking batwing-style fairing.

Hall B’s central area showcased an impressive array of motorcycles from Harley-Davidson, Triumph Motorcycles, KTM, and Husqvarna Motorcycles, distributed by Al Naboodah International.

On display were coveted models such as the Harley Davidson CVO Road Glide ST, Road Glide 2024, Triumph Daytona 660, Triumph Bonneville T120, KTM 790 Adventure R, Husqvarna Adventure Touring Norden 901, and Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, to name a few.

Some of these motorcycles were among the most expensive at VMS 2024, including the Harley Davidson CVO Road Glide ST, priced at 2.5 billion VND, and the CVO Street Glide, ranging from 2.3 to 2.7 billion VND, surpassing the price tags of many cars present at the exhibition.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a diverse range of motorcycles and scooters at a single event,” said Minh Tri, a VMS 2024 attendee from Ho Chi Minh City. “Compared to recent shows, VMS 2024 has a much more impressive lineup of two-wheeler brands and models. As a KTM owner, I was especially excited to visit their booth and experience what they had to offer.”

In addition to exploring the displays, visitors to VMS 2024 had the opportunity to participate in exciting outdoor activities, including test drives offered by Yamaha Motor and Honda.
