Xiaomi Unveils the High-Performance SU7 Ultra Electric Vehicle

The SU7 Ultra is a race-ready version of the SU7 electric vehicle, enhanced with a range of aerodynamic features. These include a large rear wing, a new front splitter, side skirts, and special racing wheels. These aerodynamic elements generate 2,145 kg of downforce, ensuring stability even at high speeds.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features sports seats, yellow seatbelts, and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel. Alcantara is also used for the seats, door trim, and other details. Carbon fiber elements are featured on the door sills and center console.

CEO Lei Jun of Xiaomi stated that most of the features on the prototype have been carried over to the production model, except for the carbon chassis due to high production costs.

The SU7 Ultra is powered by two V8s electric motors combined with a V6s motor, all developed and manufactured by Xiaomi. This setup delivers a staggering 1,548 horsepower. With this power, the SU7 Ultra accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.97 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 5.86 seconds. The top speed is an impressive 350 km/h.

Complementing the powerful drivetrain is a Qilin 2.0 battery pack with a capacity of 150 kWh, manufactured by CATL. This battery is integrated into the vehicle’s structure, enhancing rigidity and reducing weight. The battery cooling system has also been improved, increasing efficiency by up to 60%. This is crucial for maintaining stability and safety at high speeds. The vehicle supports DC 5.2C charging, allowing a rapid charge from 10-80% in just 11 minutes.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is now in production, and the first deliveries are expected to reach customers in March 2025. According to Goldman Sachs, the price of this electric vehicle starts at 814,900 Chinese yuan (approximately 2.9 billion VND).
