The all-new Range Rover Velar makes its debut in Vietnam later this year. This mid-life cycle refresh has been available in the US and European markets since early 2023. |
At first glance, the new Velar doesn’t stray too far from the original model introduced in Vietnam in 2017. The front grille stands out with its large mesh pattern, seamlessly blending with the Pixel LED headlights that automatically adjust their brightness and beam angle.
The rear of the vehicle features a sleek design with stretched taillights that span across the width of the car, complemented by the model name in the center. The rear bumper is elegantly designed with hidden exhaust tips, maintaining a subtle yet powerful aesthetic. Additionally, the vehicle is offered in two new exterior color options: Varesine metallic green and Zadar Grey and Arroios grey metallic.
Step inside, and you’ll find a minimalist and modern interior. The dashboard is accentuated by a curved, floating 11.4-inch touchscreen display. The seats are upholstered in either UltraFabric synthetic leather or Windsor leather, depending on the trim level, and are available in four distinct colors: Cloud White, Caraway Brown, Raven Green, and Deep Garnet Red.

Under the hood, the new Range Rover Velar offers a range of engine options, including a plug-in hybrid P400e variant. This configuration combines a 2.0L Ingenium gasoline engine with a 105 kW electric motor, delivering a combined output of 404 horsepower and 640 Nm of torque. The hybrid setup enables the Velar to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 209 km/h.
Alternatively, customers can opt for the four or six-cylinder 2.0L engine options. The lower-spec variant produces 250 horsepower and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The more potent version generates 340 horsepower, reducing the 0-100 km/h sprint time to 6.3 seconds. All engines are paired with a four-wheel-drive system and offer seven different driving modes.
Pricing and availability details for the Range Rover Velar in Vietnam are yet to be announced. Local dealerships have started accepting reservations and customization requests since mid-September.
