“MG RX5 Hits New Low: Now at a Jaw-Dropping $515 Million at Dealerships, Cheaper than Entry-Level SUVs”

The MG RX5 is currently one of the most affordable compact SUVs in the Vietnamese market, with a listed price range of 739 to 829 million VND. However, the actual dealer price of this SUV is even lower than that of some subcompact SUVs.

Specifically, some dealerships are offering the 2023-manufactured MG RX5 (2023 VIN) at a discounted price of just 515 million VND for the standard STD trim. This price is 224 million VND lower than the listed price.

The promotional price of the 2023 VIN MG RX5 STD already includes official discounts. During November 2024, MG is offering a registration fee waiver and two years of physical damage insurance worth 120 million VND for both the STD and LUX trims of this compact SUV. This program is applicable to 2023 and 2024 VIN MG RX5 models.

It is evident that this is a clearance promotion by both the MG brand and its dealerships. With this pricing, the MG RX5 is more affordable than the high-end trims of subcompact SUVs like the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue. It is also currently the most affordable compact SUV in the Vietnamese market in terms of actual dealer prices.

In addition to the RX5, MG is also offering promotions for all its other models during November 2024. For the MG5, the brand is providing registration fee support worth 48 to 52 million VND, depending on the version. The New MG5 receives a similar benefit worth 25 million VND.

Meanwhile, the MG ZS comes with a registration fee waiver worth 52 million VND for the STD trim and 58 million VND for the LUX trim. For the MG HS, the brand is offering benefits ranging from 80 to 85 million VND. This is followed by the MG7, with discounts ranging from 10 to 15 million VND.

MG’s two electric car models, the MG4 EV and Cyberster, do not have price discounts. Instead, the brand is offering a free electric charger, 12 months of free charging, and a 7-year battery warranty with a 1-for-1 exchange.

Furthermore, during November 2024, MG is also launching a program to honor teachers. Under this program, teachers and lecturers who directly own an MG car during this month will receive a gift of 10 million VND from the brand.

MG’s promotional program will be valid from November 1 to November 30, 2024. The offer is applicable to all customers who purchase a vehicle at one of the 40 MG dealerships and have been issued a VAT invoice during the promotional period (not applicable for bulk orders).

The MG brand currently offers 8 models in the Vietnamese market, including the MG5, New MG5, ZS, HS, RX5, MG7, MG4 EV, and Cyberster. MG’s models in Vietnam are priced between 399 million and 3.2 billion VND. The most affordable model is the New MG5, while the most expensive is the MG Cyberster.

This year, MG is preparing to launch another model in the Vietnamese market, the G50. This vehicle was showcased at the VMS 2024 exhibition and belongs to the mid-sized MPV segment, competing directly with the Toyota Innova Cross.
