According to the Vietnam Registry, a total of 12 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles in the country need to be recalled for inspection and repair of their rear suspension springs.
These vehicles were manufactured between October 2022 and May 2023 and were imported from the USA by JVA for distribution in Vietnam. The affected vehicles are the Limited trim, which retails for VND 6.38 billion.
The recall notice states that the rear coil springs on some vehicles may have been installed incorrectly, potentially leading to their detachment while driving.
Should the rear coil springs detach from the vehicle during operation, it could pose a risk to other drivers, potentially causing collisions without warning and/or injuring road users.

Jeep Grand Cherokee L owners are advised to contact JVA as soon as they notice any unusual noises coming from the rear of their vehicle, so that necessary support and repairs can be provided.
Owners are also urged to promptly bring their vehicles to authorized dealers for a free inspection and repair, which takes approximately 3.5 hours per vehicle.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee L was first introduced to the Vietnamese market at the 2022 Vietnam Motor Show, with two trim levels available. The Limited trim (6-seater) is priced at VND 6.38 billion, while the Summit Reserved trim (6 or 7-seater) retails for VND 6.888 billion.
Its competitors in the Vietnamese market include the Mercedes-Benz GLS (priced at VND 5.249 billion) and the BMW X7 (priced between VND 5.149 billion and VND 6.699 billion).
