*Top 10 Best-Selling Car Models in Vietnam for October 2024 (in units)*

As per VinFast’s announcement, the company delivered nearly 5,000 VF3 models to Vietnamese customers in October 2024. With this remarkable performance, the small electric SUV from VinFast claimed the top spot in the market.

Right behind the VF3 is its sibling, the VinFast VF5. This compact electric SUV achieved a sales figure of more than 2,600 units in October. Similar to the VF3, the VF5 offers a competitive advantage with its affordable price, environmentally friendly engine, and lower operating costs compared to gasoline vehicles in the same segment. The widespread availability of VinFast charging stations across the country also contributes significantly to the success of these two electric car models.

VinFast VF3 and VF5 secure the top two spots in the best-selling car models in Vietnam for October 2024.

The third position in the top 10 goes to the Mitsubishi Xpander, with 2,131 units sold, a significant decrease of 20.7% compared to the previous month. The Xpander is also the best-selling gasoline and diesel-powered car model in the Vietnamese market for October 2024. Additionally, it holds the title of Mitsubishi’s top-selling model and the leader in the MPV segment.

October 2024 witnessed the continued rise of the Mazda CX-5, with 2,008 units sold, reflecting an increase of 8.18%. With this result, the compact SUV from Mazda ranked fourth in the overall market and led the SUV segment. It is also the most popular model of the Mazda brand in Vietnam.

Ford Ranger secured the fifth position in the market with 1,881 units sold, achieving a growth rate of 27.6%. Once again, the Ranger solidified its position as the most favored pickup truck in Vietnam, thanks to its modern and eye-catching design, as well as its diverse range of convenience and safety features.

Toyota Vios ranked sixth in the market. This B-segment sedan, often referred to as the “national car,” recorded sales of 1,757 units, a slight decrease of 4.6% compared to the previous month. Despite the dip in sales, the Toyota Vios remains the best-selling B-segment sedan in Vietnam and leads the low-floor car segment.

Right behind the Toyota Vios is its rival in the same segment, the Honda City. In contrast to the Vios, the Honda City experienced a successful month with a sales growth of 5%, amounting to 1,670 units. As a result, the City has become Honda’s most profitable model in Vietnam.

Toyota Yaris Cross ranked eighth in the market, with sales of 1,510 units, reflecting an impressive growth rate of 54.2%. With this performance, the Yaris Cross overtook its rival, the Mitsubishi Xforce, to become the best-selling B-segment SUV in Vietnam for October 2024.

The rise of the Toyota Yaris Cross pushed the Mitsubishi Xforce to the ninth position in the overall market and second place in the B-segment SUV category. The Mitsubishi model recorded sales of 1,481 units, a decrease of 18.6%.

The final model in the top 10 best-selling cars in Vietnam for October 2024 is the Hyundai Accent. This B-segment sedan achieved sales of 1,425 units, an increase of 10.4%. While this result is impressive, the Hyundai Accent slipped to third place in the B-segment sedan category, following the Toyota Vios and Honda City. However, within the Hyundai brand, the Accent remains the top-selling model.
