On November 22, 2024, Vingroup and the Vietnam Petroleum Power Corporation (PV Power) signed a cooperation agreement to develop a nationwide electric vehicle charging station system and promote the use of renewable energy through rooftop solar power systems.
With a shared vision of sustainable development and a spirit of companionship, support, and synergy between Vietnamese brands, Vingroup and PV Power will prioritize the use of each other’s products and services to maximize potential, improve business efficiency, and enhance each other’s competitiveness.
Leveraging its strength in the energy business, PV Power will research and provide green energy and energy-saving solutions for Vingroup, offering competitive electricity prices. On the other hand, Vingroup will facilitate PV Power in installing rooftop solar power systems at factories, offices, and infrastructure managed by Vingroup and its member companies, as well as in nationwide urban areas.
In the field of electric vehicle charging, Vingroup has established V-GREEN, a company specializing in developing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, and introduced breakthrough business strategies such as franchised charging stations and an expanding network of charging stations for VinFast electric cars. Through this new agreement, PV Power and its partners will manufacture and supply high-quality, competitively priced equipment for V-GREEN, while the planned network of 1,000 electric vehicle charging stations by PV Power for the 2025-2030 period will be transferred to V-GREEN for further development to serve customers.

Currently, V-GREEN has planned a network of 150,000 charging ports for electric cars and motorcycles nationwide. With PV Power’s support, the expansion of the network and the transition to green energy use are expected to be strongly promoted in the coming time.
