NYMammoth’s digital artists have recently released a sketch image of the new generation Kia Seltos, giving users a clearer vision of the car.
As per the sketch, the new Kia Seltos will receive significant upgrades in design and engine performance.
The car will sport a more modern exterior, akin to Kia’s larger SUV models. The most notable change is the new LED lighting system and a redesigned grille, giving it a more robust and square look.
According to speculations, the 2025 Kia Seltos will introduce a hybrid version and discontinue the diesel engine, as most of its current sales come from gasoline engines.
The 2025 Kia Seltos is expected to be built on an improved technical platform, evolving from the old SP2 to SP3 chassis. This enhancement will not only boost safety but also lay the foundation for electrification.
The 2025 Kia Seltos‘ hybrid system is rumored to share similarities with the Hyundai Kona Hybrid or Kia Niro. If true, it will be equipped with a 1.6L engine combined with an electric motor, generating 141 horsepower.
Additionally, some South Korean news sources have revealed that Kia will introduce an electronic all-wheel-drive system (E-AWD) in the Seltos 2025 to expand its appeal in markets like Europe. This feature will undoubtedly enhance the driving experience of this compact CUV.
The new Kia Seltos is likely to be unveiled in August 2025 and will be manufactured at the Kia Autoland Gwangju plant in South Korea.
