According to Motor1, Mr. John Elkann, Chairman of Ferrari, has confirmed that the brand’s first electric model will be introduced to customers in 2025. At present, the car is still in development and has just been spotted undergoing road testing, of course, under camouflage.

Based on the images taken by Derek Cornelissen, the test car resembles a large hatchback. The car was spotted on the streets of Maranello (Modena, Italy) and appears to have a body modified from the Maserati Levante, along with headlights similar to the Ferrari Roma. The car’s wheels also feature a new design and are unlikely to be equipped with aerodynamic hub caps.

According to Motor1, the yellow stickers with high-voltage electricity symbols indicate that this is an electric car, so the set of four exhaust pipes on the test car is just for show. In late March, Porsche also attached fake exhaust details to the test prototype of the electric Boxster.

Currently, Ferrari has not yet revealed the official design of its first electric car. The only confirmed information so far is that this electric car will be produced at the Italian supercar brand’s new factory. The fact that a test car was spotted rolling on the streets near the location of Ferrari’s new factory is thought to be no coincidence.

Mr. Emanuele Carando, Product Marketing Director of Ferrari, said that the company’s first electric car will have an “authentic sound” and will be a “true Ferrari”. According to Reuters, the first “prancing horse” pure electric car is rumored to be priced at no less than half a million USD.
