Hyundai Experience Day 2024 will take place at Saigon River Park in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, on December 7-8. The highlights of the event include the Elantra Gymkhana Championship, where participants can experience the high-performance Elantra N, sharing the same platform as the Elantra N WTCR race car, a four-time consecutive winner of the World Touring Car Championship and currently leading the 2024 season rankings. Additionally, a unique experience awaits with the IONIQ 5N Driftshow, featuring a drift specialist built from the IONIQ 5N, Hyundai’s most powerful high-performance electric vehicle, alongside a professional Hyundai Motor racer.

Beyond the Driftshow & Gymkhana, the event will also showcase all the models that Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam distributes, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, the luxurious Genesis brand, and the sporty Hyundai N Motorsport. Moreover, a hot air balloon ride offering a bird’s-eye view of the city and a vibrant music night tailored for the younger generation promise to create a colorful and exhilarating festival.

BREAKING LIMITS, EXPERIENCING THE EXTRAORDINARY: IONIQ 5N DRIFTSHOW

The centerpiece of Hyundai Experience Day 2024 is the drift show featuring the IONIQ 5N Drift Edition, a specially modified version of the IONIQ 5N. Introduced in July 2023 as the first electric vehicle from the high-performance Hyundai N division, the IONIQ 5 N represents a new segment of high-performance electric vehicles, focusing on the driver through cutting-edge technology and enhanced on-track capabilities. It combines the standard global electric vehicle platform (E-GMP) of the IONIQ 5 with N Performance sports car technologies and expertise from the ‘Rolling Lab’ to maximize the high-performance potential of electric vehicles.

The IONIQ 5 N is equipped with a large 84kWh battery pack and fine-tuned electric motors. Specifically, the front electric motor delivers 222 horsepower, while the rear motor generates 378 horsepower. Combined, the car produces 601 horsepower and can reach up to 641 horsepower in Boost mode. The vehicle has been hailed by the media as ‘game-changing,’ ‘breakthrough,’ and ‘benchmark-setting’ for high-performance electric vehicles. The IONIQ 5 N also won the 2023 Car of the Year award from Top Gear and set a record for the fastest electric SUV lap time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife by Germany’s ‘Sport Auto.’

BREAKING PERSONAL LIMITS: ELANTRA GYMKHANA HYUNDAI THANH CONG CUP 2024

Elantra Gymkhana Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2024 will be organized for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City, following its successful debut in Hanoi in 2023.

In this competition, customers will navigate a specially designed track that tests their maneuvering skills and acceleration capabilities. They will aim to complete the course as quickly as possible without hitting the cones or veering off the designated path. Accompanying the participants will be the Elantra N-line, the sporty version of the Elantra equipped with a 1.6-liter Turbo engine that produces 204 horsepower and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The top performers will then get a chance to drive the Elantra N, powered by a 2.0-liter Turbo engine that delivers 285 horsepower and incorporates a range of racing-inherited technologies. The winner will receive a valuable gift from the organizer.

Genesis Brand Exhibition

For the first time in Vietnam, Hyundai Motor is dedicating a special exhibition space to showcase the Genesis brand. Genesis is Hyundai Motor’s luxury vehicle brand, launched in 2015 with the mission to conquer the global premium segment. Embodying the philosophy of “Athletic Elegance,” Genesis seamlessly blends powerful performance and elegant design. A new highlight of this year’s program is the special hot air balloon experience at Saigon River Park.
