In late November, SAIC Motor Vietnam Company Limited (MG Vietnam) launched the “Nurturing Hope, Lighting the Future” program in Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces. This initiative underscores MG Vietnam’s meaningful efforts and dedication to fulfilling its social responsibilities and supporting community development.

On this occasion, MG Vietnam presented new computers to La Pan Tan Primary and Secondary School (Yen Bai) and Tan An People’s Committee (Lao Cai). These gifts are intended to facilitate teaching, learning, and the integration of information technology in local management. MG Vietnam is committed to bridging the digital divide, which is the shortest path to knowledge and success, while also creating opportunities for the holistic development of young generations – the future leaders of the nation.

Mr. Pham Tien Lam, Chairman of La Pan Tan Commune, receives the donation on behalf of the local community.

In addition to the computers, MG Vietnam also donated 2,000 saplings to ethnic minority families in the two communes. This act symbolizes their hope that these saplings will not only help stabilize the livelihoods of the locals but also spread the message of environmental protection. MG Vietnam is actively responding to the Prime Minister’s Proposal 524, aiming to plant one billion trees across the country during the period of 2021–2025.

This occasion also provided an opportunity to conduct a reality check and gather information about challenging situations, which can then be shared with the wider community. This will help attract more social resources, ultimately contributing to improving the lives of the locals.

With a century-old history, MG always puts people and the community at the heart of its development. We aim to support students in accessing modern knowledge, narrowing the digital divide, and empowering them to confidently reach further and contribute to societal transformation.”

Mr. Thang also committed that MG Vietnam would continue to accompany the community and implement more meaningful programs, contributing to building a future filled with knowledge and sustainability.

The students joyfully received the computers, which will aid their studies.

In Tan An, Mr. Cam Tien Dong, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tan An Commune, Van Ban District (Lao Cai Province), was deeply moved and expressed his gratitude: “The practical and meaningful gifts from the sponsor are not only material support but also a great encouragement for the people of Tan An. The computers for students, saplings for household economic development, and gifts for families in difficult circumstances are vivid proof of MG Vietnam’s affection, social responsibility, and benevolence.”

In addition to computers, MG Company also provided support in the form of saplings and gifts for families in difficult circumstances in Tan An Commune.

Mr. Dong assured that the sponsored gifts would be utilized effectively and appropriately. He also committed to regularly monitoring, supporting, and creating the best conditions for the locals to improve their lives. These gifts could be the beginning of a new future for the students, instilling hope and strength to persevere on their challenging journey ahead.
