The Sultan of Brunei, Hassanai Bolkiah, owns an extensive collection of supercars, including many exclusive models that were custom-ordered and never released to the market.

Sultan Hassanai Bolkiah of Brunei is known for his passion for supercars. While there is no exact count, it is estimated that he owns between 2,400 and over 7,000 cars, with the collection valued at around $5 billion. Many of these are one-of-a-kind models designed specifically for the powerful ruler.

Aston Martin AM3

The Aston Martin AM3 is a unique supercar designed exclusively for the Sultan of Brunei. According to sources, it was built by Carrozeria Coggiola, an Italian company specializing in custom-built cars, and designed by the renowned Pininfarina studio. Hence, this one-off project has more Italian flair, despite bearing the Aston Martin logo.

Bentley Dominator

The Dominator was commissioned by the Sultan in 1996, making it Bentley’s first SUV, predating the Bentayga by almost two decades. It is believed that only six Dominators were produced, all of which are owned by Sultan Hassanai Bolkiah.

Bentley Monte Carlo

Like the Dominator, the Monte Carlo is another bespoke creation for the Sultan. Based on the Continental R, it features a design that stands out from other Bentleys of that era. There are only six Monte Carlos in existence (four coupes and two convertibles), and they are all owned by the Sultan of Brunei.

The Monte Carlo’s design is a departure from the square-shaped Bentleys of that time, adopting a softer and more streamlined look. It is believed to use the Continental R’s chassis. With only six units produced (four coupes and two convertibles), they are all part of the Sultan’s collection.

Ferrari 456 GT

In 2010, Ferrari stated they would never build a four-door car. However, they secretly worked on a project for the Sultan, creating eight sedans and wagons using the 456 GT platform, all designed by Pininfarina.

Mercedes-Benz 600SEL AMG Wagon

The Sultan also owns a one-of-a-kind Mercedes-Benz, the 600SEL AMG Wagon, based on the W140-generation S-Class and powered by a V12 engine developed by AMG.
